My story

After many recommendations and much encouragement, I am finally taking the plunge to tell my story.  Sharing my  experience with a diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease.

The story began when I was in my teenaged years.  As I love to walk long distances, I started out on a 3 mile walk.  Yet, this day was different and would change my life forever.

As I chose to enjoy the summer sun & the walk around the fields near my parent's home in central Minnesota, I was approached in the air by a cropduster preparing to spraying the fields with Pesticides.  To my amazement, the pilot decided to spray me directly with those horrible pesticides.  I couldn't believe it!

At the time, in the mid-1980's, we had no idea of the harmful affects of this chemicals.  So, even though I was frustrated at the pilot for doing that to me, I never thought to take action or see a doctor.  The effects of this day have lasted over 21 years...
